Please read these terms before you book. If anything is unclear, ask us and we will explain.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or book transport or a delivery with Sydney Maxi Taxi(“Sydney Maxi Taxi”, “we”, “us”). By making a booking or using the website you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Bookings and quotes
Sending a form on this website is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your booking is confirmed once we confirm it with you by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp.
Quotes are fixed for the trip details you give us: pickup and drop-off, date and time, number of passengers, luggage and vehicle. If those details change, for example extra stops, a different address, more passengers or extended waiting, the fare may change. We will tell you about any change before your trip or as soon as practicable.
Please give us accurate details, including flight numbers for airport pickups, so we can plan your trip.
Fares and payment
We accept cash, major cards, digital wallets, Cabcharge and TTSS (the NSW Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme). Any card surcharge, tolls, airport charges or other extras that apply to your trip will be explained when we quote or confirm your booking.
Advance booking discounts apply only where we confirm them for your booking.
Changes, cancellations and no-shows
Please tell us as early as possible if your plans change. If you cancel at short notice, or the driver arrives and cannot find you at the agreed pickup point and time, a cancellation or waiting fee may apply. We will tell you about any such fee when we confirm your booking.
For airport pickups we track your flight and adjust for early or late arrivals. The free waiting time included with your booking is confirmed when we confirm the booking.
Passengers, luggage and child seats
- Each vehicle can carry only the number of passengers it is licensed and fitted for, and luggage must fit safely.
- Tell us the ages of any children travelling so we can provide a suitable baby seat or booster. Child seats are provided on request and fitted by our drivers.
- Smoking and vaping are not allowed in our vehicles. A cleaning fee may apply if a vehicle is soiled or damaged.
- For everyone’s safety, a driver may refuse or end a trip if a passenger behaves in an unsafe, abusive or unlawful way.
Parcel and luggage delivery
We do not carry dangerous, illegal or prohibited goods, or items that need special licences. Please package items securely and tell us about anything fragile or high in value before we collect it.
Delays and our responsibility
We always aim to be on time, but we are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as traffic, weather, road closures, accidents or flight changes we were not told about.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any failure is limited to supplying the service again or refunding the fare.
Please contact us about lost property as soon as possible. We will do our best to return it.
